Overview

The Government of Canada - Western seeks a highly skilled Recruitment Consultant to join their team.

Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

This role is responsible for identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, preparing and posting notices and advertisements, collecting and screening applicants, advising job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment, reviewing candidate inventories, contacting potential applicants to arrange interviews, and notifying applicants of results of selection process and preparing job offers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of staffing needs to identify required skills and qualifications.
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Manage the entire recruitment process from initial applicant screening to final interview and job offer.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs and preferences.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidates, applications, and hiring processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in recruitment and staffing, preferably in a government setting.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
