Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Innomar Strategies. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our pharmacy, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of prescription filling and dispensing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager in managing the workload and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
  • Collaborate with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform independent double checks for repeat prescription releases and verify customer receipt of correct prescriptions.
  • Identify potential therapeutic issues and seek the Pharmacist's therapeutic check.
  • Work collaboratively with Innomar and ABSG Patient Programs to fulfill pharmacy responsibilities.
  • Prepare and review billings, claims, disbursements, and related documents.
  • Assist patients with prescription pickup and enter prescriptions into the computer system.
  • Screen calls and gather relevant information for the Pharmacist.
  • Order, maintain, and prepare inventory of medications.
  • Review invoices and other documentation.
  • Pack and ship prescription orders.
  • Receive and maintain accurate inventory.
  • Report Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards and internal and contractual obligations.
  • The Registered Pharmacy Technician is required to renew their Registration on an annual basis and participate in the Quality Assurance Process on a regular basis.
  • The Registered Pharmacy Technician will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time.
Requirements
  • Pharmacy Technician diploma from an accredited college and successful completion of Structured Practical Training or the British Columbia College of Pharmacists Bridging Program and a Certificate of Registration.
  • Two or more years of related pharmacy experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Kroll required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bilingualism, French/English is an asset.
