About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Repairer to join our team at BIG RIGS TRUCK CENTRE. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet of heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use your technical expertise to identify and diagnose faults and malfunctions in our heavy trucks.
  • Order and Maintain Inventory: Effectively manage our parts inventory to ensure that all necessary components are available for repairs.
  • Adjust and Repair Equipment: Utilize your mechanical skills to adjust and repair heavy trucks, including replacing defective parts as needed.
  • Keep Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs and inspections.
  • Test and Inspect Repaired Equipment: Thoroughly test and inspect repaired equipment to ensure that it meets our high standards for performance and reliability.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and performing other necessary work to keep our trucks in top condition.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physically Demanding: This role requires the ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Attention to Detail: You must be able to maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure that all work is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Manual Dexterity: You will need to have excellent manual dexterity to perform tasks that require fine motor skills.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: You will be required to stand for extended periods, often in a fast-paced environment.
