About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Repair Technician to join our team at BIG RIGS TRUCK CENTRE. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use your technical expertise to identify and diagnose faults and malfunctions in our heavy equipment, ensuring prompt and effective repairs.
  • Order and Maintain Inventory: Manage our parts inventory, ordering necessary components and maintaining accurate records to ensure efficient repair operations.
  • Adjust and Repair Equipment: Utilize your mechanical skills to adjust and repair heavy equipment, ensuring it meets manufacturer specifications and is safe for operation.
  • Keep Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and testing.
  • Test and Inspect Repaired Equipment: Thoroughly test and inspect repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications and is safe for operation.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and performing other necessary maintenance work.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in heavy equipment repair or a related field
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, overtime required, standing for extended periods
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgement, reliability, team player, organized

As a Heavy Equipment Repair Technician at BIG RIGS TRUCK CENTRE, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team of experienced professionals. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy equipment fleet.
