This is a full-time position located at our state-of-the-art campus in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. As Chair of Justice Studies, you will be responsible for leading and managing the academic and administrative affairs of our Justice Studies program. You will work closely with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure the program's continued growth and success.

About the Program
We offer a unique 4-year undergraduate degree in Justice Studies that prepares students for careers in law, public administration, social justice, and criminology. Our graduates are highly sought after by employers due to their strong foundation in both theoretical and practical knowledge.

Your Key Responsibilities
As Chair of Justice Studies, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and implementing a vision for the program that ensures relevancy, competitiveness, and currency in the field of study.
  • Leading the curriculum development and revision process to ensure that our programs remain innovative and relevant.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the program's continued growth and success.
  • Participating in University committees as required to ensure alignment with the University's strategic goals.
  • Mentoring students and supporting their academic success.


Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will require:
  • A master's degree in Justice Studies or a closely related field.
  • Industry or professional work experience specifically related to the field.
  • Demonstrated administrative capability, including experience in program management and leadership.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • A thorough understanding of the practices, policies, procedures, and collective agreements for the University of Guelph and Humber College.
