Academic Cardiac Intensive Care Specialist Position

The University of Toronto, Department of Medicine, and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre are seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Academic Cardiac Intensive Care Specialist.
Job SummaryThis is a full-time appointment that will involve both clinical and teaching responsibilities. The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto and will join the Division of Cardiology/Department of Medicine, as well as the Department of Critical Care Medicine.

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is a world leader in trauma care, emergency, and critical care, brain sciences, heart and stroke disorders, high-risk maternal and fetal care, and musculoskeletal care.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be expected to provide high-quality patient care, participate in teaching and educational activities, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements- A medical degree (MD) or equivalent qualification
- Certification in Cardiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in Critical Care Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Licensure to practice medicine in Ontario
The estimated remuneration for this position will be commensurate with academic rank, qualifications, and experience.
BenefitsThe successful candidate will be eligible for membership in the Sunnybrook Department of Medicine Association, which administers clinical billings and benefits. They will also be able to participate in the department's group medical, dental, and life insurance benefit plans.
