The Milner Group Ventures, Inc is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead our team in the development and construction of green infrastructure projects.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. As a Construction Manager at Milner Group Ventures, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising all aspects of construction projects from initiation to completion.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate subcontractors' activities to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Plan and organize daily operations to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Select trade subcontractors based on their qualifications, experience, and past performance.
  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates to stakeholders.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers as needed.
  • Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to manage project data and documentation.
  • Read blueprint, schemas, and drawings to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Plan and manage budgets to ensure effective resource allocation and cost control.
  • Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions to support project needs.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs to ensure consistent quality standards.
  • Develop risk management plans to mitigate potential risks and ensure project success.
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information to inform decision-making and improve project outcomes.
  • Prepare reports to stakeholders, including project status updates, financial reports, and quality control metrics.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, including planning, organization, and supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical expertise, including knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schemas, and drawings.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Tablet computer experience preferred.
  • Hand tool experience preferred.
  • Green economy sector experience preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, including:
