Job Title: Construction Site Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Construction Site Manager to join our team at Milner Group Ventures, Inc.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the activities of subcontractors and site staff
  • Evaluate daily operations and implement improvements as necessary
  • Plan and organize daily operations to meet project schedules and deadlines
  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
  • Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schemas, and drawings
  • DIRECT THE PURCHASE OF BUILDING MATERIALS AND LAND ACQUISITIONS
  • Develop risk management plans
  • Prepare reports

Supervision:

The Construction Site Manager will have direct supervision over 5-10 people in various areas of responsibility.

Credentials:

A successful candidate will hold relevant certifications such as First Aid Certificate, Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate, Fall Arrest Protection Training Course, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Gold Seal Membership in the Canadian Construction Association, Ground Disturbance - Level 1 program, and Ground Disturbance - Level II program.

Experience and Specialization:

A high level of computer literacy is required, with proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and MS Word. Experience with hand tools and specialized environmental skills and knowledge is also desirable.

Area of Specialization:

The ideal candidate will have experience in project management and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information:

This position requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. A combination of sitting, standing, walking, and physical labor is expected. The successful candidate will also need to provide their own hard hat and steel-toed safety boots.

Estimated Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
