Job Title: Sports Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Sports Medicine physician to join our multidisciplinary team at the Toronto Rock Sports Medicine & Wellness Centre.

Job Summary:

The Sports Medicine Physician will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our patients, including professional and elite athletes, as well as active individuals of all ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical care to patients in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to promote optimal health and return to function
  • Conduct medical assessments and provide diagnoses
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as necessary
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in sports medicine
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD) and valid license to practice in Canada
  • Licensed Primary Care physician in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • Diploma in Sport Medicine through the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM) or equivalent
  • Medical malpractice insurance through the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) or equivalent
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment and in the provision of care within an integrated sport team (IST) model
  • Evidence of experience and documented success of fostering a positive and constructive workplace culture
Assets:
  • Completion of fellowship training in sports medicine or equivalent education and training
  • Past relevant experience working in a professional/elite sport setting
