Job Title: Sports Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Sports Medicine Physician to join our multidisciplinary team at the Toronto Rock Sports Medicine & Wellness Centre. Our centre is a state-of-the-art clinic located within the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) in Oakville, Ontario.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our patients, including professional and elite athletes, as well as active individuals of all ages and abilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of injuries and illnesses
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to promote optimal health and well-being
  • Conduct medical assessments and examinations to diagnose and treat medical conditions
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as necessary
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and valid license to practice in Canada
  • Licensed Primary Care physician in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • Diploma in Sport Medicine through the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM) or equivalent
  • Medical malpractice insurance through the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) or equivalent
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment and in the provision of care within an integrated sport team (IST) model
Assets:
  • Completion of fellowship training in sports medicine or equivalent education and training
  • Past relevant experience working in a professional/elite sport setting
