We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Medicine Physician to join our multidisciplinary team at the Toronto Rock Sports Medicine & Wellness Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our centre's vision to provide excellence in clinical care to our community of active individuals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care and treatment plans in a multidisciplinary environment
- Collaborate with our team of healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient return to optimal health
- Contribute to the development and implementation of centre policies and procedures
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in sports medicine
- Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD) and valid license to practice in Canada
- Licensed Primary Care physician in good standing with the college of physicians and surgeons of Ontario
- Diploma in Sport Medicine through the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM) or equivalent
- Medical malpractice insurance through the CMPA or equivalent
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment and in the provision of care within an integrated sport team (IST) model
- Evidence of experience and documented success of fostering a positive and constructive workplace culture
- Completion of fellowship training in sports medicine or equivalent education and training
- Past relevant experience working in a professional/elite sport setting
