Mathematical Researcher

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor in Applied Mathematics to join our team at the Canadian Mathematical Society. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students, conducting research in applied mathematics, and contributing to the development of our department.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Mentoring: Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in applied mathematics, including first-year mathematics courses to large groups.
- Research and Publication: Conduct research in applied mathematics and publish papers in reputable journals.
- Service and Outreach: Participate in departmental and university service, contribute to the dissemination of knowledge through conferences and scientific activities, and engage in outreach activities to promote mathematics education.
- Education: Hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field, with expertise in Applied Mathematics.
- Research and Teaching Experience: Demonstrate a strong research and publication record, as well as experience in teaching and mentoring students.
- Communication and Collaboration: Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
- Language Proficiency: Have a strong command of the English language, with the ability to communicate complex mathematical concepts effectively.
