Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Time Healthcare Collections Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in managing the self-pay and preferred accommodation portfolios, ensuring accurate and timely billing and revenue management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Billing and Revenue Management: Perform detailed reviews of self-pay and copayment accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy of billing and revenue.
  • Collections and Follow-up: Identify and pursue delinquent accounts through diligent follow up and payment plan negotiation, minimizing the risk of bad debt.
  • Communication and Liaison: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and insurance agencies to discuss financial coverage and payment collection, demonstrating compassion and professionalism.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with preparation of monthly Accounts Receivable reporting packages, perform administrative tasks such as filing and data entry, and maintain policy and procedure documentation.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or university degree required (Business or Accounting Major is an asset).
  • Minimum 2 years of related Accounts Receivable/Collections experience in a large complex environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with computerized databases.
  • Healthcare and Meditech experience is preferred.
