Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital is a small and rural hospital that has been serving the community of Alexandria, Ontario for over 50 years. Our hospital provides acute care, 24-hour emergency services, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation to over 23,000 residents every year. Our team includes over 180 staff members, 50 Medical Staff members, and 100 volunteers who are dedicated to bringing quality healthcare to our local community.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an exceptional healthcare leader to join our executive leadership team as Vice President of Clinical Services and Quality. This is an outstanding opportunity for a leader who is driven to achieve continuous improvement, has the ability to lead teams of varying size, and can act as a community leader and spokesperson for quality, safe patient care, clinical services, and nursing.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and proactive planning for the efficient and effective delivery of programs and services at Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital.
- Collaborate with members of the senior leadership team and direct reports to develop strategies that will allow the hospital to meet its goals and accountabilities.
- Implement strategic initiatives and develop programs and services that support the hospital's vision of providing quality care to our communities.
- Oversee all nursing and rehabilitation services, professional practice, Infection prevention & Control, ambulatory clinics, Diagnostic Imaging, Pharmacy, and other related departments as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
- Masters Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Leadership is considered a strong asset and preferred.
- Minimum of five years of administrative and operations management experience in addition to significant experience in active nursing.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of administration, leadership, management, and supervisory roles.
- Ability to work independently, interdependently, and as an integral team member.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement and lifelong learning.
- Excellent inter-professional and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Good communication skills in both official languages.
