Occupational Therapist Job Summary

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and cognitive abilities, functional needs, and goals.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to promote optimal health outcomes, functional independence, and occupational performance.
  • Collaborate with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research, and professional development activities to enhance practice and patient care.
  • Provide education and consultation to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on occupational therapy principles and practices.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy theory and practice within a patient-centered model of care.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
