X-Ray and CT Imaging Specialist

The Radiology Technologist, operating under the guidance of the Clinical Manager, executes radiographic examinations at a proficient level that does not necessitate continuous oversight of technical specifics. This role involves a diverse range of technical tasks that require independent judgment, creativity, and initiative to apply and administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging. The technologist is accountable for specific areas or procedures as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all duties as outlined for Medical Radiation Technologists
- Exhibit exemplary patient care techniques
- Collaborate with students from affiliated radiologic training programs as necessary
- Uphold the continuing education standards mandated by CMRITO

Job Qualifications:

Education:
- Completion of a recognized accredited program in Radiological Technology
- Registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario

Experience:
- Proven clinical proficiency in all facets of general radiography and minor specialized procedures
- Experience in CT imaging or a willingness to undergo training is essential

Competencies:
- Familiarity with Safety Code 35
- Understanding of RHPA regulations
- Knowledge of practice standards relevant to the field
- Ability to identify and suggest opportunities for process enhancements
- Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a team
- Recent satisfactory performance evaluations
- Consistent attendance record
- Absence of recent disciplinary actions

Applicants must possess a minimum educational qualification of Grade 12 or equivalent and demonstrate a track record of workplace excellence through a commitment to strong job performance and attendance.

As a Regional Health Centre, our operations are designed to provide essential patient care around the clock. Therefore, depending on the specific program, candidates may be expected to be available for work on weekdays and weekends, as well as across all shifts - including days, evenings, and nights.
