General Manager Job Description

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead our Matrix Hotel Edmonton property. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a customer-driven hotel with a vision that inspires our associates to deliver exceptional experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the quality process to ensure customer satisfaction by consistent delivery of both product quality and service in accordance with hotel's profitability goals.
  • Perform administrative duties including reading and writing reports, dictating memorandums and orally communicating with guests, managers, corporate office, local associations, etc.
  • Interview, hire, supervise and counsel department managers in the efficient operation of their respective area(s).
  • Recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and approve discipline and all terminations.
  • Participate in community affairs and maintain positive public image for Crescent and hotel.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience as a hotel General Manager or equivalent experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of project management and lease management.
  • Working knowledge of financial/accounting procedures.
