Hotel Maintenance Technician

The Fantasyland Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all hotel facilities are in optimal operating condition by performing preventative maintenance and being proactive in identifying and correcting any issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to guest calls in a timely manner and escalate issues to the supervisor when necessary.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks and minor repairs on various appliances and equipment in Fantasyland Hotel, including kitchen appliances, restaurant and bar appliances, and laundry equipment.
  • Conduct daily maintenance checks and communicate any issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain air conditioning and heating units in guest rooms, as well as HVAC equipment and controls.
  • Conduct minor repairs on all plumbing, electrical, and HVAC equipment and report results.
  • Ensure that all work is logged into the CMMS.
  • Complete the daily maintenance log.
  • Conduct inventory checks and report when stock is needed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of previous experience working in a general maintenance role in a hotel or similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with an understanding of systems and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of all tools, equipment, and processes needed to perform work.
  • Previous experience working with a CMMS and a basic understanding of Microsoft Office products.
  • Follow established Occupational Health & Safety procedures and policies when completing tasks.
  • Report all health, safety, and security problems, and ensure all tools are kept in good working order and stored properly.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., as well as the ability to work at heights when required.

Terms of Employment:

  • This is a full-time position that requires flexible availability, including mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
