About the Role

Island Health is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our health and wellness initiatives. As the ideal candidate, you will bring a Master's degree in occupational health or a related field, along with extensive leadership experience in health, occupational safety, and prevention. You will have a track record of program and services leadership, with a focus on transforming safety culture and creating healthy work environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and wellness programs to promote a culture of safety and well-being
  • Lead a team of professionals to deliver high-quality health and wellness services
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address health and wellness needs
  • Develop and manage budgets to support health and wellness initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in health and wellness and apply this knowledge to inform program development and implementation
Requirements
  • Master's degree in occupational health or a related field
  • Extensive leadership experience in health, occupational safety, and prevention
  • Proven track record of program and services leadership
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary and best practice approaches in injury prevention and occupational health and wellness
  • Excellent leadership and development skills, with the ability to build high-performance cultures and support diverse teams
