About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at CITY FURNITURE (DC) LTD. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision: You will supervise a team of staff members, including apprentices, sales workers, and design team members, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their job expectations.
  • Sales Performance: Assign sales workers to duties, manage inventory, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Merchandise Management: Order merchandise, establish work schedules, and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
  • Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews with staff members to identify areas for improvement and provide feedback.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • At least 1 year of experience in a retail or supervisory role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of sales and inventory management software
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working 35 hours per week. The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for career advancement.
