Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our Deep Brain Stimulation Clinic, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with movement disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and interpret patient data to inform clinical decisions
  • Determine medical diagnoses and develop treatment plans for complex patient cases
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Provide education and support to patients and families
  • Act as a resource and consultant to healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Registration in the Extended Class (EC) as a Nurse Practitioner adult or Primary Health Care
  • Demonstrated expertise as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Current Certificate of Competence with College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Five years of neuroscience nursing experience
  • Canadian Nursing Association Neuroscience Nursing Certification
  • Experience in nursing research methodology
  • Eligible for cross-appointment to an academic institution
  • Membership in the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) and Nurse Practitioners' Association of Ontario (NPAO)
