We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team in Central Zone, Hants Community Hospital. As a member of our clinical team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives.

About the Opportunity

The Physiotherapist will assess, diagnose, and treat patients in a community healthcare setting who present with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.

You will educate and communicate with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers regarding health promotion, physiotherapy treatment, and pain management.

In addition, you will provide supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students and supervision of Physiotherapy Assistants.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduation from a university with a degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent from a recognized school of Physiotherapy
  • Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
  • Continuing education course in the area of orthopedics is an asset
  • Maintain current certification in CPR
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competencies in other languages preferred, French an asset
