Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Northern Respiratory Centre Inc.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, permanent position that will involve working with our clients, families, and healthcare teams to provide respiratory care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate oxygen therapy, CPAP therapy, and assess respiratory health on an ongoing basis.
  • Educate clients on their condition and prescribed therapy, and conduct follow-up assessments as required.
  • Obtain informed consent to initiate therapy and protect clients and employees by adhering to safety and infection control policies and protocols.
  • Contribute to the growth of Northern Respiratory Centre Inc. by liaising with medical professionals, providing product demonstrations and education, and attending workshops and education sessions to stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Prepare reports on calls and activities, and provide on-call services for our oxygen clients in rotation with other staff members.
Requirements:
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist with current registration in good standing with their college.
  • Proof of License to practice with the provincial governing body (CRTO, CNO).
  • Proof of a valid Driver's License and a clean Driver's Abstract.
  • Previous Customer Service experience and a minimum of 1+ years related healthcare experience.
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, and oral) and bilingualism is considered an asset.
  • Professional and friendly interpersonal skills, strong customer service values, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, assess situations, prioritize tasks, and set deadlines, and a professional and mature demeanor.
