Position Overview:
Reporting to the Manager of Perioperative Services, the Registered Respiratory Therapist/Anesthesia Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering respiratory care to patients, providing both clinical and technical support, and assisting Anesthesiologists in the Operating Rooms.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
- Current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO).
- Preferred post-diploma courses and experience in Anesthesia & Anesthesia Assistant Certificate.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in acute care settings.
- Current certifications in ACLS and PALS.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Sound understanding of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) principles.
- Proficient teaching and training capabilities.
- Self-directed with a proactive approach to supporting and implementing departmental policies and procedures.
Salary Range: $38.350 to $53.280
