We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our dedicated team at Sinai Health. As a key member of our surgical oncology unit, you will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing post-surgical interventions for various types of cancer.
About the RoleIn this rewarding position, you will have the opportunity to:
- Conduct thorough assessments and deliver focused care to patients with complex needs
- Administer medications and manage invasive devices, such as central lines and drains
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams to provide comprehensive patient-centered education
- Perform other duties consistent with the job classification, as required
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- A graduate degree in nursing from a CNO-approved program or equivalent combined education and experience
While not mandatory, we welcome applicants with:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or near completion
- Specialty certification in oncology
- Recent adult medical-surgical nursing experience, including advanced skills in ostomy care, TPN, and chest tube management
The estimated annual salary for this position is $115,000-$140,000, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
