Job Summary

The Oncology Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide direct and comprehensive care services to patients and families. You will utilize advanced practice skills to assess, coordinate, and provide treatment, while integrating best practices and evidence-based research into clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage patients with various oncological conditions, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies
  • Coordinate and provide supportive care services, such as symptom management and crisis intervention
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to recommendations for change
  • Provide education and training to team members on evidence-based oncology practice and knowledge
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • NP - Primary Health Care qualification, with RN(EC) preferred
  • Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum 3 years experience in acute oncology and systemic therapy
  • Masters degree in Nursing
  • Oncology Nursing Certification (CNA), preferred
  • Knowledge of oncology, community resources, crisis work, and relevant legislation
