Job Title: Credit Analyst

Guillevin International is seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to join our team. As a Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating credit requests, analyzing financial documents, and providing recommendations to the Credit Manager.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate credit requests and assess risk through research and analysis of financial documents.
  • Make collection calls and follow up regularly to ensure prompt payment.
  • Perform regular financial reviews to assess risk and make recommendations.
  • Process credit card payments and apply in accounting system.
  • Process and approve new credit applications.
  • Set up new accounts in system.
  • Temporarily suspend credit privileges as necessary.
  • Complete comprehensive credit inquiries.
  • Assist with cash application when required.
  • Liaise with Business Centre Managers to update on receivables and ensure disputes get addressed in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain teamwork both internally and externally.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position dealing with high volume business to business collections in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree in finance, accounting, and administration, or other relevant education is preferred.
  • Must have experience reading and analyzing Equifax, Dun and Bradstreet reports for risk assessment/credit granting.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook (MS Office).
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
  • Professional and courteous phone manner.
  • Motivated and results-oriented.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and make decisions in a timely manner.
  • Credit experience in the construction industry is an asset.
  • Must have exemplary multi-tasking and time management skills.
