Business Analyst Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our Cloud Services team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements needed to implement IT infrastructure, cloud, and other strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead site strategic implementation sessions with clinical/operational/business leadership committees
  • Design and deploy strategic project implementation approaches with programs and departments
  • Validate and document current state and future state workflows for specific IT use cases with engaged programs/departments
  • Identify and facilitate updates required to existing policies, guidelines, and processes that impact the use of changing technologies
  • Support the development of change management tactics, mobile application toolkits, instructions, and training materials
  • Develop or assist in the development of design documents, requirements analysis, testing plans, test cases, use cases, process flows, procedures, and policies
  • Support the development of business cases and briefing notes as required
  • Work with health authorities and technical teams from multiple organizations, including IMITS, Vendors, and VPP
  • Support the retirement of sunsetting technologies with many aspects of project delivery, including planning, risk management, deliverables, communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst for large complex IT projects
  • 2+ years of experience with BC Health Authorities
  • Superior analytical skills, including the ability to comprehend, analyze, and resolve complex issues and present information in concise meaningful ways
  • Knowledge and demonstrated success in workflow analysis or business process re-engineering
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading and delivering enterprise-level projects
  • Demonstrated capability in handling sensitive and challenging situations
  • Demonstrated capability to work with Senior Management teams and Executives
  • Ability to work independently to solve problems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Business Analyst (CBA) designation (or equivalent)
  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Clinical Informatics, or related discipline, plus a minimum of five (5) years recent related experience in healthcare or information management
  • Experience with PHSA, VCH, and/or PHC
  • Strong working relationships with HA stakeholders and IMIT departments
  • Hands-on experience working with/training in a clinical environment (a plus)
