Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to transport students on prescribed routes within the School District. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 2 Driver's license, a clean driving record, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate school buses safely and efficiently on established routes
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety checks and report any issues to the supervisor
  • Perform daily, weekly, and annual cleaning of the school bus
  • Promote a positive environment on the bus and support student behavior
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and the public
  • Report road hazards and accidents
  • Attend meetings and workshops as required
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years driving experience and an acceptable driving abstract
  • Valid Class 2 Driver's license for the Province of British Columbia
  • Pass annual driver medical in accordance with School District practice
  • First Aid certification an asset
Compensation

$29.24/hr, as per the Collective Agreement 440
