Shop & Jobsite Hand

Ravenhead Fabrication Services is a fabrication, welding, and machine shop located in Invermere, BC. We work on unique and high-caliber metalworking projects where fit, finish, and function need to be on-point.

We are seeking a reliable, heads-up individual to support daily operations at our shop and on jobsites. Metalworking experience is an asset, but not strictly necessary. Construction industry experience is valuable, as are the following skills and attributes:

- Ability to read drawings
- Safely use power tools and equipment
- Forklift, personnel lift, zoom boom, crane experience an asset
- Comfortable with ladders, scaffold, fall-arrest
- Use hand tools, measuring tools, understand basic trigonometry, geometry, angles, ratios, rise/run
- Reliable and honest, with a good work ethic and positive attitude
- Valid driver's license
- You work safely, watching out for your co-workers and asking for a hand when you need it
- You take pride in your work

Tasks in this role include:

- Organizing and staging materials
- Loading / unloading trucks using a forklift
- Prepping project materials using bandsaw, drill press, grinders
- Packaging / crating finished products for shipping, filling out packing lists
- Assist with site installation of structural steel, stairs, railings, etc.
- General shop housekeeping, some maintenance & repairs
- Travel to out-of-town jobsites - paid travel, meal allowance, hotels covered

Starting wage range is $27 - $33 per hour. Preference will be given to those available to travel.

Pay: $27.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

- Invermere, BC V0A1K5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
