Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Home Worker to join our team at NEXUS Community Support Society. As a Group Home Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with diverse needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide education and support to individuals with secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and household management.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote independence and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and community resources to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Participate in Mandt System training, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Food Safety Certificate.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment by maintaining a clean and organized living space.
  • Support individuals with transportation needs, including valid driver's license and driver's abstract.
  • Participate in screening questions, including availability for shift or on-call work, student status, and legal ability to work in Canada.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture by promoting respect, empathy, and understanding.

Requirements

Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with 32 to 48 hours per week. The work language is English.
