Job Title: Group Home Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Home Worker to join our team at NEXUS Community Support Society.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position working 32 to 48 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and care to individuals in a group home setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide education and life skills training to residents
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and household chores
  • Support residents with their mental health and wellness goals
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and community partners
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide crisis intervention as needed
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Mandt System training and Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate and Food Safety Certificate
  • Criminal record check and valid driver's licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
