Job Title: Group Home Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Home Worker to join our team at NEXUS Community Support Society.

About the Role:

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a high level of energy and a commitment to providing exceptional support to individuals with diverse needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and assistance to individuals with daily living tasks, including personal care and household management.
  • Assist with education and life skills development, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Document and report incidents, concerns, and progress to the care team.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Mandt System training and Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate and Food Safety Certificate.
  • Criminal record check and valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
