Sales Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Team Lead to join our team at Rutherford Esso. As a Sales Team Lead, you will be responsible for supervising a team of sales staff, assigning duties, and ensuring the smooth operation of our sales floor.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Manage Sales Staff
- Lead and motivate a team of sales staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
- Assign duties and tasks to team members to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Assign Sales Duties
- Assign sales staff to duties such as sales floor coverage, customer service, and inventory management.
- Hire and Train Sales Staff
- Recruit and hire new sales staff to join our team.
- Provide training and development opportunities to ensure sales staff have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Authorize Payments and Manage Inventory
- Authorize payments by cheque and manage inventory levels to ensure we have the products our customers need.
- Establish Work Schedules
- Establish work schedules to ensure adequate coverage of the sales floor and to meet business needs.
- Sell Merchandise
- Provide excellent customer service and sell merchandise to customers.
- Prepare Reports
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Organize and Maintain Inventory
- Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure we have the products our customers need.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Manage Cash
- Manage cash and ensure accurate handling of cash transactions.
- Support for Persons with Disabilities
- Participate in government or community programs that support persons with disabilities.
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for persons with disabilities.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees
- Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees.
- Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees.
- Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
- Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Support for Youth
- Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment.
- Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth.
- Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Support for Indigenous People
- Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people.
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
- Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
- Support for Mature Workers
- Participate in government or community programs that support mature workers.
- Apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination.
- Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for mature workers.
- Offer phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload.
- Offer phased re-entry options for mature workers who are returning to work after retiring.
- Provide workspace accommodations to meet the physical needs of mature workers.
- Offer resources to help mature workers plan their retirement.
