Job DescriptionWe are seeking an entry-level production coordinator with diverse experience to join our team. This role offers a great foot-in-the-door to anyone interested in a career within the dynamic industry of commercial film production.
- Social Media Management: maintain corporate social media accounts, organize media assets, curate high-quality creative content, conduct visual and marketing research.
- Media Vault Management: maintain and organize video assets of directors' work, gather video assets of new work, post video files on the corporate website and sales reels, ensure video assets are of high quality, implement LTO archiving, and hard drive organization.
- Creative Assistant Duties: assist with assembling and formatting layouts for director treatments and sales pitches, gather research material and visual references for directors' treatments, print and bind booklets.
- Production Duties: maintain production material storage, provide productions with office equipment, maintain production equipment, assist with production research, coordinate crew, place holds on crew and equipment, research production projects, and work under the guidance of executive producers to coordinate the collection of research material and information required for production project pitches.
- Administrative Duties: maintain a presentable production office space, maintain office supply levels and equipment, coordinate the acquisition of new tools and equipment, coordinate and prepare food for meetings and lunches, manage FedEx, couriers, and drop-offs/pick-ups, mail, file, store, manage petty cash, and coordinate conference calls and boardroom space.
- Software Proficiency: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere, and Microsoft Excel.
- Layout and Design Skills: strong layout and design skills are essential.
- Interpersonal and Written Communication Skills: strong written and interpersonal skills are required.
- Multitasking and Time Management: ability to multitask and work in a high-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Mac Computers: familiarity with Mac computers is preferred.
- Recent Graduates: recent graduates from media or design programs within the last 2 years are encouraged to apply.
- Driver's License: a valid Ontario G or G2 driver's license is required.
- References: two professional references are required.
- Police Background Check: a police background check is mandatory.
$44,000 CAD per year (rate negotiable after one year based on performance review).
