Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide clinical nursing services within a recovery model of care, working closely with individuals and families to promote their physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural well-being.
Under the direction of the Team Leader Mental Health and Addiction Services, Residential and Recovery, you will be responsible for delivering clinical supervision and assisting with the day-to-day delivery of services needed for the 'recovery model of care', including the administration of medications and assessment of individuals' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural issues from a rehabilitative perspective.

- Work closely with individuals and families to promote their physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural well-being
- Deliver clinical supervision and assist with the day-to-day delivery of services
- Administer medications and assess individuals' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural issues

- Experience in residential services preferred
- RPN/RN with extensive experience and proven organizational and leadership abilities
- Five (5) years recent Mental Health experience
- Current registration in professional association
- Good interpersonal skills
- Experience working within a community setting with adults with a mental illness
- Ability to assess situations and diffuse crisis incidents
- Ability to complete nursing assessment of individuals with psychiatric disorders
- Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation
- Knowledge of importance of relationship building, motivational and activation techniques
- Computer skills
- Good written and verbal reporting skills
- Good organization, time and general management skills
- Class IV Driver's License and own transportation
- Current criminal record check
- Full understanding of the Community Care Facilities Act
