We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team at Northern Health Authority. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide and coordinate nursing care to assigned patients consistent with current standards of nursing practice and the clinical specialty of Medical Surgical nursing.
- Practice as a member of the Acute Care Unit nursing team, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and preferences of each patient.
- Monitor and report patient progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Medical and surgical nursing experience required, with pediatric, neonatal, and maternity nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to operate related equipment, including medical devices and software.
- Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to deal with others effectively, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
