Critical Care Registered Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide and coordinate nursing care with current standards of nursing practice and the Clinical Specialty of Critical Care & Emergency Care Nursing.
- Independently work in Emergency and provide clinical experience to manage all equipment appropriate for the provision of care for patients admitted to the critical care and acute care units.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Participate in orientation of new personnel and assist in the development of new policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Minimum two (2) years medical/surgical experience and/or Post Diploma Certificate in Critical Care and/or Emergency Nursing and/or equivalent combination of experience and training.
- CPR (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification or willingness to complete within 1 year.

We offer a range of services, including 10-bed Psychiatric unit, 3 surgical suites, Three ICU beds, Extensive Day Care service, Community Cancer clinic, and Community based programs such as Chronic disease management, Meals on wheels, Diagnostic and specialist center, CT and Nuclear Medicine services.
