Restaurant Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at Symposium Café Restaurant and Lounge. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of quality in our food and beverages.
Key Responsibilities:- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets to determine the cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies.
- Operations Evaluation: Regularly evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Revenue Monitoring: Monitor revenues to determine labor costs and make adjustments to optimize profitability.
- Staff Management: Supervise and train staff to ensure they are meeting the highest standards of customer service and food quality.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that we have the necessary supplies to meet customer demand.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Marketing and Promotion: Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote our restaurant and increase customer engagement.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, and point of sale systems.
- Security and Safety: Must undergo a criminal record check.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, and repetitive tasks.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, and ability to multitask.
- Permanent Full-Time Position: 40-44 hours per week.
- English Language: English is the primary language of communication.
