Labor Relations Communication Manager

This temporary full-time position is available in the Office of the Chief Communications Officer. The successful candidate will work closely with the bargaining team and other related teams or committees to develop and implement communication plans that support the organization's labor relations and collective bargaining portfolios.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing strategic advice and recommendations to clients, developing and implementing communication plans, and producing a wide array of communication materials for external audiences. You will also manage sensitive and confidential information, work alongside subject matter experts, and prepare media and social media monitoring reports.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- Strong background in communications, public relations, or a related field
- Extensive experience in written communications skills, labor relations, and crisis communications
- Proven ability to establish effective working relationships
- Demonstrate commitment to ethical communication practice and confidentiality
- Align with our Cultural Commitments and Leadership Competencies
We Offer
The City of Edmonton offers a competitive salary range of $43.617 - $54.961 (hourly) or $91,072.30 - $114,758.57 (annually), depending on experience.
