Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our team at Sienna Senior Living. As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional nutrition care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for residents, taking into account their unique needs and preferences.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and reassessments of residents' nutritional status, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement therapeutic menus, ensuring that residents receive the best possible nutrition care.
  • Identify and mitigate nutrition-related risks, working closely with the team to develop and implement strategies to prevent and manage these risks.
  • Provide education and counseling to residents and their families on nutrition and dietary care, promoting healthy eating habits and optimal nutrition outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in nutrition care, applying this knowledge to improve the quality of care provided to our residents.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field from an accredited university program.
  • Registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
  • Proven knowledge of Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care dietary and nutrition regulations.
  • Experience working in a long-term care setting, with a focus on nutrition care and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
