Job Summary:

The Registered Dietitian is a critical role within our organization, impacting the lives of residents and igniting the warmth of human connection. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating residents' nutritional care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement nutrition care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring residents receive optimal nutrition and hydration.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and reassessments to identify residents' nutritional needs and develop targeted interventions.
  • Create therapeutic menus for special diets, including those for residents with specific dietary requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate nutrition-related risks, ensuring residents receive safe and effective care.
  • Provide education and counseling to residents, caregivers, and family members on optimal nutrition and hydration practices.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement nutrition-related policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Food and Nutrition from an accredited university program.
  • Member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
  • Knowledge of Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care dietary and nutrition regulations.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing nutrition care plans for residents with complex needs, including dementia, dysphagia, and other conditions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
