Nurse Leader

As a Resident Care Specialist with Northern Health Authority, you will play a vital role in planning, coordinating, and implementing resident care programs. Reporting directly to the Resident Program Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of quality care and service is delivered. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your clinical nursing experience and leadership skills to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and develop resident care programs to meet the unique needs of our residents
• Provide direct and indirect support, guidance, and direction to care staff to ensure high-quality care is delivered
• Collaborate with the care team to promote a safe and holistic care environment
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of the healthcare team
Requirements
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
• Post-graduate courses and/or certification in Gerontology
• Five (5) years recent related clinical practice experience within the last seven (7) years, where relevant nursing skill and management principles have been utilized, including two years successful formal supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
