Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Validation Engineer to join our team at Renesas Electronics. As a Co-op Validation Engineer, you will play a critical role in validating the functionality of digital logic in our cutting-edge timing devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate Digital Logic: Work with our team to validate the functionality of digital logic in our timing devices, ensuring that they meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Develop Automation Tests: Create Python automation tests to catch corner cases, bugs, or stress test devices, ensuring that our products are reliable and efficient.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with our digital design and software teams to debug devices and determine improvements for device drivers, ensuring that our products meet the needs of our customers.
  • Build and Maintain Documentation: Prepare and review documentation to ensure that our products are properly documented and that our team has the necessary information to support our customers.
Requirements
  • Education: Working towards a degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or a similar field.
  • Programming Experience: Python programming experience or programming concept knowledge.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to problem solve and seek knowledge when presented with unknown concepts.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Some knowledge of analog and DC circuit design, knowledge of lab equipment, and knowledge of serial communications.
  • Additional Skills: Soldering skills are a plus, but not necessary for day-to-day operations.
