Registered Nurse/registered Psychiatric Nurse, Hospice Residence

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse/registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at the Hospice Residence. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, assessing their physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial needs, and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' needs and develop care plans, implementing and evaluating interventions as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
- Act as an advocate for patients' rights and dignity, promoting autonomy and respect.
- Document patient observations, teaching, and care evaluations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to data collection and analysis.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff, adhering to established safety and emergency procedures.
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and/or Psychiatric Nursing, with two years' recent experience in medical nursing, including one year in a hospice/palliative care environment. Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
