Job Summary:

The District Asset Protection Manager is a key role within Loblaw Companies Limited, responsible for developing and implementing asset protection strategies to reduce shrink and protect company assets. This position requires a strong leader who can mentor and motivate field staff and store colleagues to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement asset protection strategies to reduce shrink and protect company assets.

  • Mentor and motivate field staff and store colleagues to achieve operational excellence.

  • Conduct quarterly audits in each corporate store and provide feedback to management.

  • Investigate and resolve integrity issues in a timely and professional manner.

  • Ensure compliance with all asset protection and operational policies and procedures.

  • Provide training and coaching to asset protection partners to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

  • Collaborate with the District Manager of Operations to identify and address district needs and opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with local law enforcement, regulatory bodies, vendors, and other retailers.

  • Assess physical security needs and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of progressive loss prevention/asset protection experience.

  • Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada.

  • Post-secondary education in Law & Security or equivalent experience.

  • Ability to deal with sensitive issues with integrity and strong professional judgment.

  • Ability to gain senior management support for new ideas and initiatives.

  • Strong knowledge of the company's policies and procedures.

  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Certified Wicklander investigator an asset.

  • Frequent travel required within assigned zones and at times to other provinces.
