Salary InformationA competitive salary based on experience will be offered to the successful candidate.
The estimated annual salary is $80,000 - 100,000.
Job DescriptionCompany OverviewSecond Nature Family Health & Wellness Centre is a leading provider of alternative education and mental health services for children.
We pride ourselves on our commitment to providing a trauma-informed and attachment-based learning environment that supports the unique needs of each child.
Responsibilities- Implementing a safe and stimulating learning environment for neurodivergent children aged 4-12.
- Providing ongoing support and feedback to ensure high-quality therapeutic interventions.
- Leading a small team of educators to deliver attachment-focused lessons.
- Collecting classroom observations and submitting them to the School Principal.
- Participating in team training and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Collaborating with parents and families to ensure a high level of care for our learners.
- Providing supervision for school outings and field trips.
- Creating learner portfolios (journals of learning) and providing guidance on their completion.
- Liaising with the School Principal and Owner to improve and expand program offerings.
- Developing engaging invitations to play and explore within the classroom that centre around learner's interests.
- Providing mental health support to children during classroom hours.
- Experience in mental health counseling, education, and social work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Knowledge of attachment-based approaches and nature therapy.
- Experience working with children, youth, and families.
- Certification or relevant degree in counseling, psychology, or social work.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Passion for helping individuals develop social and emotional skills.
