Second Nature School, located at 36 Antares Drive, is a private elementary school that caters to neurodivergent children and youth by providing a flexible learning and clinic environment that is neuro-affirming, child-centred, and nature-focused. Here, we help to support children who may benefit from extra support and are a safe space for families who may not fit traditional educational environments. Before and after school care is available to learners (8:30 am - 5:00 pm) and can be added to your hours, should you wish to participate.

On-the-job training
Casual work attire
Hours: Full-time
Implementing a safe, therapeutic, and stimulating learning environment to neurodivergent children ages 4-12.
Offering ongoing support and feedback to ensure the highest quality of therapeutic interventions.
Provide engaging invitations to play and explore within the classroom that centre around learner's interests and that weave in subjects including Language Arts, STEAM, Mathematics, Physical Education, Health Education, etc.
Provide mental health support to children during classroom hours.
Engage in therapeutic relationship building with children.
Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
Education in one of the following: Behavioural Science Technology Diploma, Autism Behavioural Science Certificate, Child & Youth Worker Diploma, Developmental Services Worker, Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree, a degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field and/or experience.
Passion for learning alongside children.
Passion for providing a safe space for children and youth of all ages and abilities
A love of children is a must
