Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Arvan Rehab Group. The successful candidate will work closely with residents in a Long Term Care home in London, Ontario, to improve their activities of daily living.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress notes in the facility's health record system. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and listening skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience working in a Long Term Care home.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct OT/ADP assessments for residents and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Complete feeding assessments for residents
  • Assess residents for falls prevention and Least Restraints, including reviews of bed rails
  • Work with the Physiotherapist and Nursing staff on wound management
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to make recommendations for interventions and treatments
Requirements:
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and ADP Authorizer
  • Professional License Insurance
  • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in a Long Term Care home (an asset)
  • Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector
