Lynk is seeking an innovative and collaborative Electrical Project Administrator in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

This role reports directly to the Electrical Manager and plays a key part in the day-to-day administration tasks of the division.

The Cahill Group was established in 1948 as a small electrical shop in Glace Bay, NS. Today, it is a leading electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and controls & instrumentation contractor, and part of the Cahill Group.

Our experienced, local team efficiently manages commercial, municipal, industrial, and renewable energy projects in and around Cape Breton. With highly trained technicians and tradespeople, Lynk offers innovative solutions for controls and system integration as well as multi-disciplinary maintenance needs in the areas of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and traffic, and streetlights.

Compensation: A competitive salary of approximately $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities will include:

Procurement: Procuring goods and services such as conduit, wire, fixtures, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies for industrial and commercial projects.

Purchase Orders: Preparing and managing purchase orders electronically.

Invoicing: Reviewing and approving invoices for payment.

Delivery Coordination: Expediting and coordinating delivery of goods to sites.

Inventory Management: Managing inventory levels and tracking supplier bid proposals.

Project Support: Providing project support, including obtaining and submitting shop drawings, coordinating assembly of operation and maintenance manuals, and assisting with project schedules and commissioning documentation.

Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

Education: A graduate from a recognized engineering technology program or equivalent experience in the electrical construction industry.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to work closely with other departments, team members, suppliers, general contractors, and subcontractors.

Self-Directed Individual: Detail-oriented and self-directed individual able to manage multiple projects, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, AutoCad, Bluebeam, and Accubid.

Job Details:

This is a permanent, full-time position with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The Cahill Group embraces a culture of belonging and diversity in the workplace.
